Flux provides a specialist, multidisciplinary engineering consulting and project management service to the mining and heavy duty industries. The company’s particular strengths are in the process, minerals engineering, commercial and industrial building and roads sectors. Flux has been involved in numerous, diversified projects within the mining industry which has bolstered our understanding and appreciation of the sector.
With our project delivery, we are focused on engineering design, installation, commissioning and handover of processing plants. We are further structured to optimally execute projects within the framework of the agreed contracting strategy, with the available strategies including EPC, Partnership, and Turnkey contracting or EPCM basis where this is beneficial.

We are also structured to supply quality services to our Clients which assist to expedite engineering and consumer goods for the local and export markets. We perform design verification and inspection of CSMPP E&I installations, Investigation of service problems and failures and resolution of manufacturing problems.
All our work is carried out to the applicable standards i.e. Occupational Health and Safety Act, Mine Health and Safety Act, SANS, SABS, COP, various design and manufacturing codes.
Environmental Management

SIMS
Increasing demand to extend the life of fixed steel structures due expansion and in some instances to match the life of processing plants, has resulted in the platform being subjected to higher loading due to modifications, upgrading and the demands of additional loading due to new drilling campaigns for which the platform may not have originally been designed.
In addition, PCSB platforms are also be faced with other challenges and events such as major damage anomalies identified from the inspections performed, an increase in environmental metocean loading, the presence of shallow gas and seismic/earthquake loading for which the structure may have not originally been designed.
